GETTING A GAS CONNECTION
There are basically three companies: Indian Oil Gas, HP Gas and Bharat Gas. To apply, you need to pay a deposit of Rs. 900 for a single cylinder and Rs. 1,800 for a double cylinder (and another Rs100 for regulator). The cylinders will be provided within a week in case of BP and Indane, and a month in case of HP. You need to pay the amount to the nearest gas agency office in cash. This is the list of agencies:
